Brief Description (Abstract):

Phytoplankton biomass measured as chlorophyll a was measured at 8 stations along a meridional transect (58.5 E) and 4 stations along the coast of Antarctica. Vertical samples up to a depth of 200 m were also analyzed for chl a.

Status: Ongoing

Purpose: As a part of the regular SO expedition, chl a data is required to understand the marin food-web dynamics and carbon biogeochemistry in SO.
