Brief Description (Abstract):

As a part of the Radar and Satellite Meteorology project, the Laser Ceilometer is deployed at Mandhardev, a remote location in the complex terrain of the Western Ghats to understand the morphology of the vertical profile of clouds. The ceilometer continuously provides the measurement of cloud base height along with corresponding cloud depth for three layers over the ground up to 15 km.
