Brief Description (Abstract):

Radiosonde observation is conducting at HACPL, Mahabaleshwar,to understand the vertical profile of the atmosphere.The radiosonde consists of meteorological measuring sensors coupled to a radio transmitter and assembled into a small lightweight box. The device is carried aloft by a balloon filled with hydrogen. Radiosonde observations were made to determine the pressure, temperature, and humidity from the surface to the point where the sounding was terminated.

Purpose: To study the vertical properties of the atmosphere.
